Configure Notifications

What are notification settings?

Moveworks facilitates notifications through the bot deployed in your chat system. These alerts correspond to an array of skills, including ticketing concierge, approvals, and other skill-based actions, enhancing your user experience and efficiency.

Overview of the Notifications Settings module

This module provides the ability to rank systems for notification outreach, map chat bot applications to the routes, and implement DSL rules. These rules help filter which users receive notifications via the enabled routes, ensuring effective communication. Additionally, this module permits customization of notifications pertaining to employee communications (broadcast).

Configuring Notification Settings

Notification routes

This config allows you to prioritize chat platforms based on notification importance. Users can designate their preferred chat system, ensuring notifications are always sent there first. This preference ranking is utilized initially and serves as a default setting in cases where a user's preferred chat system hasn't been set yet.

  1. Choose a chat system from the list of available options.
  2. Define the priority order for these systems, starting with 1 for the highest-priority system. For eg: Enter "1" for MS Teams
  3. Pick the chat bot application where you'd like to receive notifications.
  4. Decide if you want to enable custom access rules. If activated, a custom DSL will be used to filter users who should receive proactive notifications through this route.
  5. Enter the DSL rule if the above check is enabled. Learn more about entering this DSL rule : [[ DSL rule]]

Employee Comms (Broadcast) Settings

This configuration allows you to establish preferred settings for notifications associated with employee communications broadcasts.

  1. Define the number of days user can mute messages for employee comms broadcast messages.
  2. Define the link expiry period for employee comms broadcast messages.
  3. Decide if you want to enable/disable notification translation via GPT.
  4. Decide if you want to disable all proactive notifications except Employee comms.

Additional Controls

This configuration contains the "Access control publish campaign enabled" field which provides the listed users with the ability to publish campaigns within Employee Communications.
