What is an AI Agent?
An AI agent is an LLM-powered intelligence that has access to capabilities and uses them to accomplish a goal on behalf of their user. The AI agent's capabilities allow it to understand and act in its environment.
Moveworks AI agents are designed to use their capabilities (plugins) to understand & eliminate repetitive tasks. Their "environment" is made up of enterprise systems, users, & business processes.

How do I use AI agents?
You access your AI agents using the Moveworks AI Assistant. Your Assistant lives on a variety of employee surfaces (Slack, Teams, Web). When your users message your AI assistant, it becomes an AI agent, and uses its capabilities (plugins) to complete work.
How do I build AI agents?
AI agents need a few key components to work properly.
- AI Assistant - An interface for users to interact with AI agents. This can be via a chat platform (e.g. Slack, Teams, etc.), or on the web.
- Reasoning Model - An LLM-powered intelligence (brain) that can understand the enterprise environment, plan multiple steps, execute capabilities, & adapt on the fly.
- Plugins - Specialized capabilities that can carry out work & integrate with business systems. This is the "code" behind the capabilities.
- Automation Engine - An automation tool that can "run" plugins and successfully connect human language to API data. These are effectively the “arms, legs, eyes, & ears” of an AI agent.
- Connectors - Authenticates your AI agents to business systems.
- Marketplace - A place to discover & install powerful pre-built AI agents.
- Insights- An analytics experience to monitor & report on the performance of your AI agents.
