Acting on an approval notification
You can act on an approval notification by clicking on an action button or respond to it directly.
Here is an example if you respond to an approval request directly.
List Approvals
You can ask the Moveworks Copilot for a list of your pending approvals.
To view more details of each, simply follow up with a number (e.g. 1) from the list, or say “Show me more details of the second one”.
Approval Looping
The “Approval Looping” feature allows users to loop through and act on all of their pending approvals through a “View next approval” and a “View all approvals” button.
After you’ve approved or denied an approval, the “View next approval” buttons will be attached to the confirmation message. You can click on the button to immediately jump to the next approval.
Below is an example of the steps you go through to approve requests one by one.
Step 1: ask the Moveworks Copilot for your pending approvals
Step 2: Type a number from the list to view more details, and take action.
Step 3: Click on “View next approval” to view the next open approval
Step 4: View the next approval details
What is the difference between Moveworks Classic and Moveworks Copilot?
Experience differences
- The Moveworks Copilot is a lot more flexible and conversational than Moveworks Classic. You can query for more details about an approval record using natural language, just like how you would talk to an agent. For example, you can follow up to a list of approvals and say “Show me more details of the second one”. You can also approve or deny an approval request by directly typing it into the Moveworks Copilot (instead of clicking on the button).
- Due to the fluidity of the LLM, there might be some variance in the content and format that the Moveworks Copilot present when looking up an approval request. We’ve provided the reasoning engine with system instructions to always show the most important information (Approval ID, Short Description, Requested for, Last updated at) in a structured format, but you might run into rare cases where the instruction was not followed. If that happens and you do not see the full details of an approval request, simply follow up and say “Show me more details”.
Feature/Configuration differences
The table below calls out the feature difference between Moveworks Classic and the Moveworks Copilot. Everything else, including integrations, configurations, and features are all supported the same way in the Moveworks Copilot as in Moveworks Classic.
