Troubleshooting: VPN
VPN disconnects or is very slow
If you're experiencing disconnections or unusual delays, try the following:
- Check if your internet provider is experiencing any outages or slowdowns. Resolve these and try connecting to VPN again.
- Try changing the VPN server location to a less crowded server or one closer to you. (Note that this may not be possible for your VPN client or organization.)
- Restart your computer and try connecting to VPN again.
- Close other applications.
- Uninstall the VPN client from your device and then reinstall it.
Can't connect to VPN
If you are having trouble connecting, try the following:
- Make sure that you are connected to a non-company network BEFORE connecting to VPN.
- If this is your first time connecting to VPN on this device, make sure you have entered the correct login credentials.
- Make sure your internet connection is working. You can do this by checking the status bar at the top (for Mac) or bottom of the screen (for Windows).
- Uninstall the VPN software, reinstall it, restart your computer, and try connecting to VPN again.
