How do I install a network printer with an IP address?
Before you begin: Obtain the printer IP address from IT or the printer.
- Check that you are connected to the company network <and disconnected from the VPN>.
- Click the Apple Menu > Systems Preferences > Printers and Scanners.
- Click the Plus icon ( + ) on the left to open the Add window.
- Click IP, enter the IP address into the Address field, and click Add.
Your printer is installed!

- Open Systems Preferences and click Printers and Scanners to display a list of pre-installed network printers.
