When Initiative Designer generates or customizes an initiative, it may identify steps where no existing plugin on the Marketplace currently exists. It proposes hypothetical plugins to fill those gaps, displayed with a dotted border around the plugin card.

What You Can Do with Hypothetical Plugins

The following actions are available for hypothetical plugins and for any non-installable plugin.

Prototype in Mock Agents

Send the plugin to Mock Agents to test what the conversational experience would feel like in the assistant.

Customize the Flow

Edit the mock using Generate or manual changes to match your exact needs.

Save as a Custom Plugin

Once you’ve refined a hypothetical plugin, save it to the Marketplace where it appears in your account. Custom plugins are private to your workspace. You must save the custom plugin or the initiative itself to avoid losing progress.

Send to Agent Architect

Get guidance on how to actually build the plugin. You can send to Agent Architect from two places:

From the Marketplace:

From Mock Agents:

Custom Plugin Limitations

  • Custom plugins can currently be saved into a Collection or your saved items. They do not automatically appear in your initiative or override a proposed hypothetical plugin, but you can add them manually.
  • Sharing an initiative that contains custom plugins will omit the custom plugins from the shared view. However, hypothetical plugins generated by Initiative Designer are included when sharing.
