DSL

DSL (Domain Specific Language) is used for writing rules, conditions, and single-value expressions across Tool Studio. You’ll use it in validation policies, conditional logic in compound actions, and anywhere you need a boolean expression or computed value.

Common Patterns

Date validation — check if a value is in the future:

$PARSE_TIME(value) >= $TIME()

String concatenation — build a full name:

$CONCAT([data.first_name, " ", data.last_name])

Conditional expression — return different values based on a flag:

IF data.is_vip THEN 'Priority' ELSE 'Standard'

List operations — count active items:

data.items.$FILTER(i => i.status == 'active').$LENGTH()
