Controlled Availability

The Agentic Orchestrator is in Controlled Availability and comes to your Enterprise Assistant in Q1 2027. Capabilities, limits, and interface labels described here may change before general availability. To request access, contact your Moveworks account team.

People Lookup gives the assistant your org chart. Employees find people the way they think about your company, by name, team, manager, or location, from the people data you already import. The Orchestrator calls it like any other tool.

What It Answers

QuestionExample
Who someone is”Who is Priya Shah?”
Reporting lines”Who is Sam’s manager?”, “Who are my direct reports?”, “Who are Lee’s peers?”
Filtered lists”Who’s in Finance in Austin?”, “Which contractors report to Lee?”
Contact details”What’s Ana’s email?”
Searchable byReturned, where the import has it
Name, email, phone number, location, department, role, manager name or email, employment status (full-time, part-time, contractor), in any combinationName, contact details, department, role, location, manager, direct reports, employment status, start date, seating
  • Several people at once. One call runs many searches in parallel.
  • Multi-hop questions. Skip-level managers and peers take more than one lookup; the Orchestrator chains them.
  • Your organization only. Public figures and other outsiders aren’t covered.

Where the Data Comes From

The people graph is the set of user profiles Moveworks builds from your user import, which pulls from systems such as your identity provider and ITSM. The more of your org chart you map, the more the assistant can answer: map manager, department, and location, and reporting-line and team questions work out of the box. Treat the graph as your company directory; the fields you import are the fields employees can look up.

Permissioned Retrieval

For data that depends on who is asking, such as HR records, cases, or approvals, build the lookup as a Tool Studio plugin with a User slot. The User type resolves “John” to the right employee with the built-in resolver, and the plugin calls your system of record with the requesting user’s credentials, so that system decides what each person can see. See Slots and Slot Best Practices.
