# World Knowledge App

# **Overview**

World Knowledge App is a secure, enterprise-grade AI assistant for everyday knowledge tasks — writing, research, problem-solving, and debugging — using live web search and frontier model reasoning. Unlike Enterprise Search, which retrieves results from your company's internal sources, World Knowledge is oriented toward public information, general reasoning, and document-assisted tasks.

# Key capabilities

**Web search + LLM reasoning**

The assistant automatically determines when a live internet search is needed and returns grounded responses with source citations.

**General knowledge tasks**

Get help with writing improvement, explaining concepts, learning, debugging code, and creative problem-solving using the model's built-in knowledge.

**File upload and document Q\&A**

Upload a file and ask questions that combine the document's content with LLM knowledge and web search — for example: *"Does this benefits document still comply with current federal law?"*

## Availability

World Knowledge App is available on the **Moveworks web app** across **all Data Centers** for organizations on eligible SKUs: **EmployeeWorks** and **Moveworks Standalone.**

## Enablement

First, make sure the Moveworks **web bot** is configured and active:

1. Enable Specialized Assistants. Go to **Moveworks Setup > Core Platform > AI Assistant > Specialized Assistants.**
2. Enable file attachments for the relevant web bot. **File attachment** allows employees to upload documents and ask questions against them within World Knowledge App.

Live Web Search capabilities is managed within **Moveworks Setup > Plugin Management > World Knowledge.&#x20;**&#x49;t is defaulted to be on, and we recommend keeping this on to ensure responses are grounded in current information. You do have the ability to turn this off, or restrict to certain users.

# **FAQs**

**Is this the same as QuickGPT?**

No. World Knowledge App replaces the earlier QuickGPT experience with a dedicated app surface, automatic web search (no manual confirmation required), and file upload support.

**Is this available on Teams/Slack?**

Yes this is possible, but please contact your CSM for more information.

**What analytics are available?**

This is not currently available, but usage analytics will be made available soon.

**What are the security risks of enabling web search?**

With web search, the assistant fetches live results from the public internet. This introduces two risks to be aware of:

* Unvetted URLs — search results includes links to third-party sites
* Unverified content — responses from public sources that may not reflect your organization's policies or vetted data

Moveworks has implemented prompt-level guardrails to reduce unsafe outputs. You have the option of disabling web search by **Moveworks Setup > Plugin Management > World Knowledge.&#x20;**&#x54;his comes with the risk of less up to date responses to your users.
